Amritsar Airport in Punjab has become the seventh airport from which Malaysia Airlines has decided to fly. Until now, Malaysia Airlines used to fly only from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. Now Malaysia Airlines flights will fly between Amritsar and Kuala Lumpur twice a week.

According to information shared by the Fly Amritsar Initiative, Malaysia Airlines will fly between the two cities twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from November 8. Secretary Yogesh Kamra said that till now Batik Air is flying three days a week. While Air Asia X started flying four days a week from September 3.

Amritsar-Kuala Lumpur journey is only 5.35 hours
This plane of Malaysia Airlines will fly from Kuala Lumpur to Amritsar airport at 6.50 pm according to Malaysian time. This plane will fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 11.25 pm Indian time after a stop of about 4 and a half hours. The journey between the two countries will be 5.35 hours.

Boeing 737 will fly
According to the Malaysia Airlines website, the airline will fly every Wednesday and Saturday of the week with 160-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. It will have 144 economy and 16 business class seats. Airlines have also started booking it on their website.
