Mai Bhago AFPI: My Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls, SAS Nagar (Mohali) has invited online applications for the written entrance test for the first batch of National Defense Academy (NDA) Preparatory Wing.
It may be mentioned that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has recently decided to start the National Defense Academy (NDA) Preparatory Wing at My Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute from this academic session. With this decision, Punjab remains the leading state in terms of providing opportunities to girls in defense services.
Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls Director Major General JS Sandhu (retd) informed that the online registration for the entrance exam to be held on June 4, 2023 is going on and the last date of registration is May 28, 2023.
He said that this important initiative of the Punjab government will empower the women of the state by providing them an opportunity to realize their dream of joining the defense services as commissioned officers.
Major General JS Sandhu (retired) said that a total of 10 girls will be selected for the first batch this year. He said that the girls who want to apply for the NDA preparatory course must have passed the 10th class examination in 2023.
Girls studying in class XI can also apply for this course but their date of birth should not be earlier than July 02, 2006. They should also have a proof of being a resident of Punjab. He said that all the living expenses including the training of the girls selected in this institute will be borne by the state government.
