Entire family arrested in case of drug trafficking in Bathinda, heroin recovered

Bathinda’s Civil Line Police raided a house in Dhobiana Basti. The police have arrested 4 family members along with heroin and drug money from the house. A case has been registered against the accused in the police station civil line and they have been produced in the court and taken on remand. From where the said accused used to bring drugs and to whom they used to sell them.

DSP Gurpreet Singh said that the police party had received secret information that the said accused were selling drugs by keeping them at home. Based on the information, the police formed teams and conducted raids.

105 grams of heroin and drug money worth Rs 7.40 lakh have been recovered from the house. An Innova vehicle has also been recovered from the accused. The accused have been identified as main accused Harjinder Singh son of Ramandeep Singh, daughter-in-law Mansi and wife Amarjit Kaur.

During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the said accused used to bring drugs from near Ferozepur and sell them at Bathinda. DSP Gurpreet Singh said that if anyone else’s name comes up in the inquiry, he will also be nominated. The police are interrogating the accused.
