ELSTAT: Looking for prospective researchers – Criteria and conditions

The Hellenic Statistical Service is looking for candidate researchers for the period up to April 2024 and the sub-Register of the Structure of Agricultural and Livestock Farms 2023, for the period December 2023 – February 2024.

Specifically, ELSTAT invites those interested to submit an online application for their membership:

a) in the Register of Private Partners (PI) for the period up to April 2024,

b) in the sub-Register of Private Partners (IS) of the Agricultural and Livestock Structure Survey 2023, for the period December 2023-February 2024

Applications, for registration in the new IS Register and the IS sub-Register, will be submitted by interested parties only online on the ELSTAT website from 12:00 on 11/23/17 until 24:00 on 11/30/ 23 on the website of ELSTAT in the electronic link Applications of Private Partners.

The application is also a responsible declaration for everything mentioned in it.

Who can participate?

The right to submit an application for inclusion in the IS Register is only available to natural persons, who are at least graduates of Lyceum or sixth form High School or have a certificate of Greek proficiency of the corresponding level (B2), aged 18 to 67.

Especially for the participation in the Annual Agricultural Survey (AGS) the right to submit an application has the right to submit an application only to graduates of Agronomists, Foresters/Forestists and Veterinarians of University Education of all specialties and directions, graduates of Technological Education of Schools of Technology, Agriculture, ATEI Department of Plant Production, Animal Production, Agricultural Economy , Forest Environment Management (including related Master’s and/or Doctorate degrees with a subject related to Agricultural, Forestry and Veterinary Science), aged 22-67 and computer skills.

The right to submit an application for inclusion in the sub-Register of Private Partners (IS) of the Agricultural and Livestock Structure Survey 2023 has only natural persons, who are at least graduates of Lyceum or sixth form of Gymnasium or have a certificate of Greek proficiency of the corresponding level (B2), aged 18 to 67 years old, and have computer skills.

Please note that the submission of an application to the sub-Register of Private Partners (IS) of the Agricultural and Livestock Structure Survey 2023, allows the submission of an application for inclusion in the IS Register for participation in the Annual Agricultural Survey, but excludes the submission of an application for inclusion in the IS Register for participation in the Household and Business surveys.

They do not have the right to submit an application for inclusion in the IS Registry:

a. the employees of ELSTAT and employees of public services in general, legal entities under public law, local self-government organizations and other public organizations, as this appears each time from the Public Services register of the Ministry of the Interior (https://www.ypes.gr/anthropino-dynamiko-dimosioytomea/category–mitroo-dimosion-ypiresion), as well as those serving their term in the army,

b. those who have been excluded from the next IS Registry during their cooperation with ELSTAT in the January – August 2023 Registry and those who have been excluded from the possibility of participating in any IS Registry.

Highlights

Unemployed: Joining the IS Register and the IS sub-Register is likely to bring about changes to registered unemployment status or benefits and benefits arising from it. For this reason, unemployed persons who are interested in joining the Register and the IS sub-Register must seek the relevant information from the Public Employment Service (PYPA) to which they belong before submitting their application.

Pensioners: Joining the IS Register and the IS sub-Register is likely to bring about changes to pensions. For this reason, pensioners who are interested in joining the Register and the IS sub-Register must, before submitting their application, seek the relevant information from their competent insurance institution and take all the necessary actions that their institution will indicate.

Public Employees: When IS, which during the validity of the Register and the sub-Register in which it has been included acquires the status of an employee of public services, legal entities under public law, local self-government organizations and other public organizations, must inform ELSTAT in writing in order to carry out his deletion from the Register and sub-Register, his replacement by the next in line candidate and the termination of any project lease agreement he has signed.

Knowledge of computers/tablets for the right to participate in research where required, consists of good knowledge of operating office software applications (indicatively Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, etc.), the ability to navigate the internet and the ability to handle e-mail.

Project of Private Partners

ISs undertake the task of collecting data for statistical surveys. In particular, the IS work includes, on behalf of ELSTAT, the timely, complete and correct collection of data from businesses and households, the

collection of administrative data, the electronic registration of the data (where required) and their delivery to ELSTAT at the times it sets and in accordance with its more specific instructions. The data is collected at fixed times, mainly through personal interviews in the area of ​​households or businesses and with special survey questionnaires.

IS are not employees of ELSTAT. They enter into a project lease contract, for the completion of which they are committed (Article 8 of the ELSTAT Operation and Management Regulation, Official Gazette 2390 B), and their relationship with ELSTAT is not a dependent labor relationship, as is also apparent from the no. 23339/27.06.2023 ASEP certification, nor does it create any right/benefit that would arise from such an employment relationship.

Responsibilities of Private Partners SIs must be able to meet the physical and mental demands of completing their work, i.e. they must be able to handle multiple visits to households and businesses and conduct personal interviews with those in charge.

They must have a good knowledge of the Greek language, communication skills and, when performing their work, have a decent appearance and polite behavior.

Before undertaking the research units for which they were selected, the SIs are obliged to attend the research-related educational unpaid seminar, which takes place at the ELSTAT Central Service for Attica and at the local Regional Statistical Services (PSS) for the rest of the country. Hellas.
