Bureau Report: Elections have been announced in five states. Apart from this, voting will be held in a single round in Rajasthan as well. Here on November 23, people will vote for the next government. Telangana will go to the polls on November 30 at the latest, while the results of all five states will come on December 3, Sunday. There are 16.14 crore voters in the five states where elections are going to be held. Of these, 8.2 crore are male, 7.8 crore are female votes, while 60.2 lakh new voters will vote for the first time.

In 2018, Kamal Nath’s government was formed in Madhya Pradesh

There was a lot of political drama during the last assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. In the election results, Congress got only 5 seats more than BJP. Congress had 114 seats and BJP had 109. BSP won 2 MLAs and Samajwadi Party one seat. With the help of both, the Congress alliance reached the majority figure of 116.

The Congress government fell in 15 months. In fact, 22 Congress MLAs had resigned, including 6 ministers. After the resignation, the Kamal Nath government fell and the BJP formed the government for the fourth time under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

For 25 years, the government changed every time in Rajasthan

There are total 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan. In 2018, elections were held on 199 assembly seats. BSP candidate Laxman Singh died of heart attack in Alwar’s Ramgarh seat. Due to which one seat remained vacant. Out of 199 seats, Congress got 99 seats.

RLD supported Congress after which they got 100 seats in their account and Congress became the government in Rajasthan under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot. In 2019, Ramgarh seat was won by Congress and then 101 seats went to Congress. In 2018, 73 seats went to BJP’s account. While independent and other party candidates won 26.

After 15 years, the Congress government was formed in Chattiggarh

In 2018, Congress returned to the ministry in Chhattisgarh after 15 years. Out of 90 Vidhan Sabha seats, Congress got a huge majority. Only 15 seats came to BJP’s account. Congress won 68 seats. Some of the MLAs had changed parties. Currently, Congress has 71 MLAs, BJP has 13, while BSP has 2 and 3 MLAs from Ajit Jogi’s party. Congress trusted Bhupesh Baghel for 5 years and ran the government under his leadership.

BJP got only 1 seat in Telangana in 2018

BJP won only 1 seat during the 2018 assembly elections in Telangana. The current Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao’s party TRS got maximum 88 seats while Congress got 19 seats. Talking about the current situation, the ruling party has 101 MLAs out of 119 assembly seats. Owaisi’s party AIMIM has 7 MLAs, while Congress has 5 and BJP has 3.

In 2018, the MNF government was formed in Mizoram

Mizoram has 40 assembly seats. In the 2018 assembly elections, the Mijo National Front (MNF) made a comeback after 10 years. Out of total 40 seats, MNF had won 26 seats while only 5 seats went to the account of Congress. Apart from this, Joram People’s Movement got 8 seats. Only one seat came to BJP’s account. The Mijo National Front made Joramthanga the CM.
