Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has taken special care of this class by making big announcements for the welfare of tribal and backward classes in the budget. The Finance Minister said in his announcement during the budget that more than 38 thousand recruitments will be done in tribal schools. Along with this, 740 Eklavya schools will also be opened for tribal students. With this, there will be more focus on education in tribal areas and the scope of education will also increase.

In the General Budget 2023-24, emphasis has also been laid on promoting financial literacy. Presenting the budget in Parliament, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an allocation of Rs 15,000 crore over 3 years for the Tribal Mission. Finance Minister Sitharaman has also announced the opening of 740 Eklavya Model Residential Schools for tribal students. 38,800 teachers will be recruited in these schools. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced this while presenting the fifth general budget.

The PMPBTG development mission is 7 percent in the current financial year, whereas in the year 2023-24, it has estimated 6 to 6.8 percent growth. Presenting the budget, the Finance Minister said that PMBPTG Development Mission would be launched especially to improve the socio-economic condition of tribal groups, so that PBTG settlements could be equipped with basic facilities. Rs 15,000 crore will be made available to implement the scheme in the next 3 years.
