A 7.1 magnitude earthquake occurred near Tonga located in the Oceania continent on Sunday evening. After this, a tsunami warning was issued for the country. No loss has been reported so far.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred about 100 km (62 mi) north-east from the main island. The Pacific Ocean Tsunami Warning Center said that dangerous waves could arise within the scope of 300 km (185 mi) from the center of the earthquake.
