Earthquake felt in Ladakh, magnitude 4.5

Earthquake tremors were felt in Leh of Ladakh at 4:33 am today. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.5 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 5 km underground.

Earlier on Monday, December 25 at 1.10 pm, mild earthquake tremors were also felt in Kishtwar of Jammu and Kashmir. The magnitude of this earthquake was 3.7 on the Richter scale, NCS said.
