DSP body found near canal in Jalandhar, police involved in investigation

The body of a DSP has been found near Basti Bawa Khel Canal in Jalandhar. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. An identity card was recovered from the dead body. The deceased has been identified as Dalbir Singh Deol. Dalbir was a resident of Ladha Kothi village in Sangrur.

Dalbir was posted at the PAP headquarters. It is worth mentioning that DSP Deol fired near village Mand. Then he had an agreement with the villagers. The police have sent the purse found at the scene of the incident for forensic examination. JCP Sandeep Sharma said that in the preliminary investigation, the matter appears to be an accident.

DSP Dalbir Singh was going somewhere on foot at night. Meanwhile, a vehicle hit him. Because of which something hit his head. in which he died.

Police started investigation after the DSP's family lodged a complaint that he had gone to celebrate New Year with friends on Saturday evening but did not return home. JCP Sharma said that the CCTV of the area is being checked. Due to which it is being ascertained how this accident happened. If this is not an accident, then how did the wound on the head happen? At present, the case is being investigated from various aspects.
