This is because Hindi was spoken in the United Nations General Assembly for the first time on January 10, in the year 1949. Apart from these, Hindi is spoken and understood in Philippines, New Zealand, USA, Uganda, Singapore, Nepal, Guyana, Trinidad, Tibet, South Africa, UK, Germany. In a way, the language of Pakistan is also Hindi in a way, the script of which is different. Although it is called Urdu in India and Pakistan, it is a form of Hindi with a different script. It does not seem to be any different from Hindi in terms of speaking and understanding.
Hindi is taught in reputed universities of the world
Hindi is not only spoken and understood in other countries, but it is also studied regularly in many countries. Along with Canada and Australia, America is also included in such countries. In the University of Washington, USA, undergraduate i.e. UG and post graduate i.e. PG courses are conducted in Hindi. Apart from this, PhD can also be done there in Hindi. The University of Chicago is running different courses in Hindi of one, two, three and four years. Apart from this, advanced courses based on Hindi literature and culture can also be conducted from this university. Graduation and post graduation courses can also be done in Hindi from London University. Hindi is also taught at Cornell University in America and Tokyo University in Tokyo. Hindi is being taught in Tokyo University since 1909.
