After the video surfaced, Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao termed the incident as ‘unfortunate’ and said that he was saddened by the incident. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) assured of taking steps to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

We have made animal care centers. We conduct regular drives to control the breeding of stray dogs. But when such incidents happen, anger comes to the fore.
Hyderabad Mayor G. Vijayalakshmi told reporters that all precautions would be taken to prevent such incidents.
