Desh Bhagat University announced to distribute more than 23 crore scholarships

Desh Bhagat University has announced to give more than 23 crore scholarships during the new session 2023-24 in various categories.

The Public Relations Department of Desh Bhagat University organized a press conference on 29.05.2023 at Patiala. The agenda of this conference was to share information about the new courses of the university, discuss the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and D.BEST (Patriotic University Entrance Scholarship Test) scheme by the university.

On this occasion Eng. Baldeep Singh, Public Relations Officer, DBU Dr. Sandeep Singh, Honorable President, Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Harsh Sadavarthy, Vice President, DBU and welcomed journalists from print, electronic and web media to attend the conference.

Dr. Sandeep Singh, Hon’ble President, introduced various courses being run by Desh Bhagat University like Paramedical, Nursing, Dental, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Management, Languages, Law, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Security and many more. Information about more than 200 courses has been shared.

Dr. Sharing his views on NEP 2020, Sandeep Singh said that the basic objective of NEP is to make education universally accessible from primary to secondary level. It helps in building the relationship between the educator and society at large.

Dr. Singh also said that Desh Bhagat University encourages students to choose their suitable academic path for flexible and lifelong learning. The multiple entry and exit system is the basis of the new National Education Policy in higher education, which DBU is already following.

Dr. Harsh Sadavarthy, Vice President said that under the D.BEST for meritorious and needy students, the university provides up to 100 per cent scholarship to students who clear the entrance examination. With this initiative, DBU is paving the way to make education accessible and affordable. Sadavarthy said that the university is breaking new ground in the fields of higher education, research, sports, placement, innovation and entrepreneurship.
