New DelhiIn Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party MLAs Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi took oath as ministers in the Arvind Kejriwal cabinet on Thursday. Atishi has got Education, PWD, Electricity and Tourism departments. At the same time, Saurabh Bhardwaj has got the portfolio of Health, Urban Development, Water and Industry. Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi were administered the oath of office by Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena at the LG House in Delhi. On this occasion, along with CM Kejriwal, other ministers of the Delhi government were also present.

Resignation of Sisodia and Jain

It is noteworthy that earlier today on Tuesday (March 7), President Draupadi Murmu accepted the resignations of former ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain. Apart from this, Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj were also appointed ministers in the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government.

The notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs states that, on the advice of the Chief Minister of Delhi, the President has accepted the resignation of Manish Sisodia. Along with this, the names of AAP MLAs Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi were sent by the Delhi government for the post of new ministers, which were approved. Who are Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj is the MLA from Delhi’s Greater Kailash constituency. Saurabh Bhardwaj has become MLA for the third consecutive time from this constituency. Saurabh Bhardwaj is also the national spokesperson of AAP. He is also the Vice Chairman of Delhi Jal Board. On the other hand, talk about another Aam Aadmi Party MLA Atishi, he won the election from Kalkaji assembly constituency in the year 2020 assembly elections. He is MLA from Aam Aadmi Party earlier by winning MLA Atishi in 2019 on the other hand. Earlier in 2019, Atishi had contested the Lok Sabha elections against BJP’s Gautam Gambhir, but she could not win. Atishi has an important contribution in preparing the education policy of the government.
