The Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab is launching the ‘CM’s Yogashala’ campaign as a special initiative to make Punjabis physically and mentally healthy. AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will inaugurate the pilot project ‘CM’s Yogashala’ to be started in Amritsar, Phagwara, Ludhiana and Patiala.
Addressing a press conference at Patiala in this regard, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that they have also started a helpline number 7669400500, on which the Punjab government will itself provide a free qualified teacher to the concerned person after making a missed call. . Also, people will be able to get all kinds of information about diet and yoga exercise.
Dr. Balbir said that today many people are suffering from respiratory system, blood pressure, diabetes and heart problems. Therapeutic Yoga can help all these patients a lot and in this regard 60 students have been trained in Guru Ravidas University to teach therapeutic yoga at ‘CM’s Yogashala’.
He further said that while people will lead a healthy life with ‘CM’s Yogashala’, they will also get teachers and proper guidance for yoga training easily. The Health Minister said that, “As the beginning of the health revolution, we have opened 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab and now with ‘CM’s Yogashala’, Hon’ble Government is a step in the health revolution started to make Punjabis physically and mentally healthy. Further advancing.”
He said that there will also be a yoga meditation center near the Aam Aadmi Clinic as a healthy lifestyle and regular yoga practice reduces the risks of many diseases to a great extent. The Cabinet Minister said that we already have 2500 health centers and 16 Ayurvedic colleges.
He said that allopathy is a western concept and it is also important in emergency situations but Ayurveda and Yoga is our own ancient science and now is the time to practice it for a healthy lifestyle. He said that ‘CM’s Yogashala’ was established by Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and Mr. Bhagwant Maan has a unique initiative.
He emphasized that making Punjab ‘Rangala Punjab’ is the dream of our Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann because a progressive Punjab can only be made with a healthy Punjab. He appealed to all MLAs and officials to participate more in this effort to make Punjab healthy.
