Bureau Report: Once again there has been controversy regarding relations with China. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has asked the army to keep a close eye on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) bordering China. The defense minister said that the situation in the northern sector has become tense. Addressing the Army Commanders’ Conference, Rajnath Singh asked the army to keep an eye on the political changes taking place around the world and make their plans accordingly.

The Defense Minister said that we have full confidence in our army that they will respond to every challenge on the border adjacent to China. This statement of the defense minister has come when talks between India and China are about to start for the fourth consecutive year in May. So far there have been several rounds of talks but nothing has come out, there is a dispute between the two countries over Galwan Valley, Pangong, Gogra and Hot Spring. 60 thousand troops of India and China are standing ready in these areas.

The Defense Minister said that it is our government’s effort to provide its soldiers with good weapons, uniforms to fight in all kinds of weather so that they do not feel weak while fighting the enemy. He said that there is a need to be ready for battle, at any time, one may have to respond to the nefarious plans of the enemy. The Defense Minister said that in order to compete with China, we are equipping the Ladakh sector with other facilities so that we are ready whenever China needs to respond.

The Defense Minister said that Pakistan should also be on the alert, he said that I am sure that the way the army and the security forces have responded to the terrorists with mutual cooperation to bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir will continue. We will not allow any plan of Pakistan to succeed.
