A cousin killed his own sister in Bhai Daya Singh Nagar, Badewal Road, Ludhiana. After this, the accused youth also stabbed himself in the throat. After which both were brought to the hospital, where the girl died late at night. Seeing the serious condition of the accused brother, the doctors referred him to PGI. He has been identified as Rakesh Kumar. He was staying with his uncle for the last 3 years.
On the other hand, after getting information about this incident, the police reached the spot and found some burnt clothes in the room of the deceased. The police is also investigating from this angle that there might not have been any quarrel between the two over the clothes.
Regarding this incident, SHO of Sarabha Nagar police station Amarinder Singh said that the matter is suspicious. The dead girl’s body is being sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem. The attacker is admitted to PGI. After the situation becomes normal, he will be questioned to find out the reasons behind the murder.
