Coronavirus Updates: While on the one hand people in the country are busy preparing for the festival of Holi. On the other hand, 180 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in India, while the number of patients undergoing treatment increased to 2,090. Figures have been released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday morning, in which it has been told that the total number of people who died of corona infection has reached 5,30,764.
So far, the number of people found infected in the country has increased to 4,46,85,799 and 4,41,52,945 people have recovered from the infection. The recovery rate from infection is 98.80 percent, while the death rate is 1.19 percent. According to the Ministry’s website, a total of 220.63 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccine have been given so far under the nationwide corona vaccination campaign in the country.
60 percent of the patients got organ damage after one year
Here, a research has claimed that in 59 percent of the patients affected by corona infection for a long time, about a year after the initial symptoms appeared, there have been cases of organ failure. These include those patients who did not fall seriously ill after being found infected for the first time. Research published in the journal ‘Royal Society of Medicine’ included 536 people who were affected by Kovid for a long time and during this time they had to face difficulty in breathing and other health problems.
Multiple organs were damaged in 29 percent of the patients.
Researchers said that 13 percent of these people had to be hospitalized for the first time after the corona virus infection was confirmed, while 32 percent of the people involved in the study were health workers. He said that in 331 out of 536 patients, six months after the infection was confirmed for the first time, information about the organ not working properly came to the fore. Six months later, the researchers performed a 40-minute long ‘multi-organ MRI scan’ test on these patients. Its findings confirmed that 29 per cent of patients who were affected by Kovid for a long time had multiple organ failure, while one organ stopped functioning in 59 per cent of patients about a year after getting infected.
