These include Delhi government’s largest hospital and LNJP, which was a Kovid dedicated hospital in the previous waves of Corona, Safdarjung and RML hospitals of the central government and All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi.

In such a situation, not only Delhi but also nearby corona patients can take treatment in these hospitals. In view of the daily increasing cases of corona, arrangements have been made for covid wards, covid dedicated beds, ICU beds, ventilators and oxygen in these hospitals.

Arrangement of 405 beds for Kovid in RML
Director and Medical Superintendent of Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Prof. Ajay Shukla told that keeping in view the cases of Kovid, the hospital has prepared a step up plan. Keeping in view the seriousness of Corona cases, the beds will continue to be increased. At present, 405 beds have been arranged for Kovid. Currently, 5 ICU beds have been reserved for Covid patients, but as per the step up plan, as serious Covid patients arrive, ICU beds will also be increased.

At present there are two patients in ICU but both were admitted to ICU due to non-covid disease but when they were tested for covid, they turned out to be positive. Although he does not have any problem related to Kovid. Along with following the advisory and instructions of the Central Government in the hospital, the situation is being constantly monitored and mock drills are also being conducted.

Maximum beds in LNJP Hospital
Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of Delhi’s Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, says that at present a total of 450 beds are reserved for Kovid in the hospital. Oxygen facility is available on all these beds. Whereas there is facility of ventilators support or ICU on 50 beds. At present, there are 11 patients of Corona in the hospital, out of which two are on ventilator support while the remaining 9 have been given oxygen. Dr. says that LNJP has five PSA plants for oxygen. While there are some D type cylinders as well. Along with this, teams of doctors are ready for any emergency.

Dr. Suresh says that samples of all the corona patients who come to the hospital are being sent out for gene sequencing so that it can be known which variant of Covid is spreading the infection in Delhi.

At present, a total of 44 beds have been completely reserved for Kovid in Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital for Corona. Out of these, ventilator facility is available on 22 beds. All the other beds have oxygen support. Apart from this, 90 beds are available separately in the second building, which can be used if needed.

In the information given by MS Office, it was told that only two patients of Corona are admitted in the hospital. Both are women above 90 years. The condition of one of them is serious due to falling in a stroke, while the other has Kovid, but due to old age, there was a lack of oxygen, so he was given oxygen.
