Three organizations give the Emmy Awards
The Emmy Awards are presented by three partner organizations. The Television Academy administers the Prime Time Emmy Awards. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences administers awards for morning and daytime programming, sports, news and documentaries. The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences administers the International Emmy Awards. All three organizations offer membership to TV professionals. These members vote for the awards and the winner is decided on that basis.

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences gives awards in a total of 16 categories.
