CM Bhagwant Hon will visit the house of Ramesh Lal who was martyred in Ladakh

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is reaching the house of Naib Subedar Ramesh Lal of village Sirsari in Faridkot district of Punjab, who was martyred in an accident in Leh-Ladakh on August 19. Apart from sharing the grief with the victim’s family, he will also hand over a check of Rs 1 crore as financial assistance. However, before that they will visit the house of martyred gunner Tarndeep Singh in Kamli village of Tarn Taran.

Martyr Naib Subedar Ramesh Lal joined the Indian Army 24 years ago. His father and mother have already passed away. They got married in Fatehabad, Haryana. He was married 15 years ago to Geeta Devi, daughter of Sher Singh of Sundernagar, Fatehabad. Currently, Ramesh Lal was living in Rishikesh with his family and father-in-law. Both the children of Shaheed study in Army Public School.

A total of 9 jawans were martyred in this accident.
On August 19, an army truck suddenly fell into a ditch at a place called Kiari in Nauma Tehsil, 6 km from Leh, with 10 soldiers on board. 8 of them died on the spot. 2 were taken to Leh Hospital, one of whom also died. A youth is under treatment in critical condition. The army truck was accompanied by an ambulance and USV. A total of 34 soldiers were on board in all these vehicles. The accident happened around 6.30 pm

Among the martyred jawans were Gunner Manmohan Singh, Naib Subedar Ramesh Lal Sundar Nagar, Lance Naik Tejpal Sengal (Noah), Gunner DMT Ankit Garhikheri (Rohtak) from village Behan in Haryana.
