Children of a school in Kerala have set an example of social unity. He collected lakhs of rupees to build a house for a schoolgirl. The case is of a government school in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Anshia, a student studying here, was collected Rs 8 lakh by her classmates in just 100 days.
How to raise 8 lakhs?
According to reports, Anshiya’s house was in a dilapidated condition. The economic condition of his family was not good. Anshiya’s father passed away this year. In such a situation, it became difficult for Anshiya’s family to live in the same house. Meanwhile, some of Anshiya’s classmates decide to help her.
But building a house was not so easy. So the children thought of a new way. According to the information, they have decided to start various fundraising programs. As part of the programmes, they set up food stalls, sold some goods and also participated in a newspaper competition. Students also collected a part of this fund by selling school uniforms.
According to the report, one of the fund-raising students said,
“We had targeted to complete it in 100 days. For this we have also created a countdown chart.
Appreciating this laudable step of his students, the principal of the school, Manjusha A.R.
“When the rest of the students went to Anshiya’s house, they saw her broken house and decided to help their classmate. This is a memorable day in the history of our school. It is like a golden day in our teaching career.”
Anshiya is also happy with this kind of support from her classmates. Thanking her classmates, Ansia says,
“After my father passed away, there is only me, my mother, elder sister and grandmother at home. We were not able to live in that house. I am proud that they have raised money for me.”
Anshiya’s classmates not only raised funds for her home, but they also planted 100 saplings on this special occasion. Apart from this, food packets were also distributed to the needy people. A blood donation camp was organized in which 50 people donated blood. Cleaning was also done at 25 places in the city.
