Chhattisgarh Budget 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has presented the fifth budget of his current term on Monday. In this budget, the Bhupesh Baghel government has announced a monthly allowance of Rs 2500 to unemployed youth in the age group of 18-35 years, whose annual family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh. Along with this, the state government has proposed a light metro project between Raipur and Durg.

Announcement to give 10 thousand rupees every month for Anganwadi workers

Bhupesh Baghel has opened the box for the public in the budget of the year 2023-24. In the budget, the Chhattisgarh government announced an increase in the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers. It has been increased from Rs 6500 to Rs 10 thousand. Along with this, the allowance of Anganwadi helpers has been increased from 3550 to 5000. Apart from this, the amount of assistance given under Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana will be increased from 25 thousand to 50 thousand. For this, a provision of 38 crores has been made in the budget. At the same time, the amount of monthly pension given under the Social Security Pension Scheme to the destitute, elderly, disabled and widow and abandoned women will be increased from Rs.350 to Rs.500 per month.

Establishment of new thermal power plant in Korba West

At the same time, a new thermal power house will be set up in Korba West. A provision of 25 crores has been made for this in the budget. New medical colleges will be established in Manendragarh, Gidam, Janjgir Champa and Kabirdham districts. A provision of 200 crores has been made for this in the budget. Whereas, on the lines of establishment of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park, industrial parks will be established in urban areas as well. A provision of 50 crores has been made to encourage the establishment of small and cottage industries in industrial parks.
