Punjab Rainfall and Flood Update: Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra visited more than a dozen villages of his constituency including Ghaggar river, Jhambo drain and other rain drains and Samana, which was flowing rapidly during the heavy rains, and took stock of the situation caused by heavy rains. According to the feedback received from the people on this occasion, Jauda Majra instructed the officials of other related departments including Water Drainage, Public Works, Mandi Board, Rural Development and Panchayat to be more vigilant in view of the continuous warnings of heavy rain by the Meteorological Department. To monitor the flow of rivers, canals so that immediate relief can be provided to the people in case of any emergency and critical situation like floods.

He said that the entire government machinery is making every effort to deal with the natural calamity, while the Chief Minister has also issued orders to conduct this special Girdavari so that the loss caused to the people can be compensated.

Meanwhile, Chetan Singh Jaudamajra reviewed Samana city as well as Ghaggar river and Jhambo drain as well as other drains passing through the constituency. They visited the villages of Dharmedhi, Ghiura, Soolar, J.P. Also visited villages such as Colony, Dhanori, Sassa, Sassi, Sassa Theh, Nawan Gaon, Main, Kamalpur, Haripur etc. and interacted with local residents to get feedback.
