In the pictures released through the video, the moon is shown in blue-green color. Many craters are also visible on the moon. The video was released hours before a second major maneuver late Sunday night. Meanwhile, the orbit of Chandrayaan-3 was reduced at around 11 pm Indian time on Sunday. The spacecraft successfully underwent a planned orbit reduction procedure. Retrofiring of the engines brought it closer to the lunar surface. Chandrayaan is currently at a distance of 170 km x 4313 km from the surface of the Moon.
Earlier, on Friday i.e. July 4, the high-speed Chandrayaan-3 covered more than two-thirds of the distance between the Earth and the Moon. A day later i.e. on 5th August it entered the region of the moon. Chandrayaan-3 was launched on July 14 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.
