Chandigarh, February 4: A girl working at a salon was sexually molested by a person who threatened to fire her, police said on Saturday.
The police reported that the victim was traumatised as a result of the incident and had sought police protection. On Thursday, a FIR was filed at the Sector 19 Police Station after another girl informed the officers about the incident.
The accused has been identified as Istakar Ali.
According to the FIR, the case was registered under sections 316, 506, and 372 (2) (n) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The case is being investigated further.
