He believes that ‘baking powder’ and ‘fertilizer’ will play an important role in future transportation, although they will not be used directly. David predicts that sodium, found in salt, seawater and baking powder, will become a major component of batteries used in cars and gadgets of the future. It is important to note that the availability of sodium is much higher than that of lithium.

He said that sodium works better at low and high temperatures than lithium batteries. These batteries can be easily recycled and are also cheap.
