After the lockdown, not only Bollywood, but the entire film industry of India has faced a tough struggle. But cinemas that have been closed for months due to Corona have had the biggest impact on those industries, whose size is not as big as the Hindi-Telugu-Tamil industries. But 2023 has brought new hope for the Punjabi industry. Where the Punjabi industry got two big hits like ‘Jodi’ and ‘Kali Jota’ in the first 6 months of the year. And now this movie of Gippy is going to create a historical record. ‘Carry on Jatta 3’ also stars Sonam Bajwa, Binnu Dhillon, Kavita Kaushik and Gurpreet Ghuggi.
‘Carry On Jatta 3’ hit the theaters on Thursday on the occasion of Eid and the film took the box office by storm on the first day itself. Gippy Grewal’s film had a net India collection of Rs 4.55 crore on its first day. This is the latest opening collection for any Punjabi film ever. This figure is huge for the small scale Punjabi industry compared to the top film industries of the country.
