BSF soldiers seized heroin worth Rs 5 crore at Ferozepur border

BSF personnel have recovered one kg of heroin on the India-Pakistan border. The recovery was made near the border fence in Kilche village of Ferozepur district. It is feared that Pakistani smugglers have dropped him here with the help of drones. BSF personnel have taken possession of the consignment and started investigation.

According to information, on Sunday, BSF personnel were patrolling in the border village of Kilche. At the same time, the eyes of the youth fell on a sock in the wheat field. Some cargo was tied in it. When the BSF personnel checked, around 1 kg of heroin was recovered from it. In the international market, its price is said to be around 5 crore rupees.

“On April 30, 2023, alert BSF personnel while on duty in the area recovered a stock of suspected heroin near the border fence near border village – Kilche, district – Ferozepur,” the BSF said in a statement. According to the BSF, the weight of the seized drug was about 1 kg and the stock was found in a cropped wheat field. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
