Amritsar: Border Security Force personnel have foiled the third attempt of Pakistani smugglers in three days. Along with this, the BSF jawans have recovered a consignment of heroin worth Rs 56 crore at the Amritsar border. According to the information received from BSF, BSF 113 battalion soldiers were on late night patrol at BOP Ghanke Bet under Dera Baba Nanak of Gurdaspur.
At 2 o’clock in the night, the drone was heard coming towards the Indian border. Hearing the sound, the jawans started firing. After staying in the Indian border for 4 minutes, the drone returned at 2.04 pm. On the other hand, a consignment of heroin was recovered from BOP Ramkot police station Lopoke.
The men of Battalion 22 were on morning patrol. At around 10 am, they saw a packet with lights and hooks attached to it. This shipment was also dropped by a drone. When the consignment was opened, 5 packets were recovered from it. After inspection, when it was opened, its total weight was found to be 7.980 kg. The international price of which is around 56 crores.
