The German automaker is known for giving BMW a flagship experience. Recently the company has introduced BMW Theater Screen. This is a new in-car entertainment system that converts the back seat of the car into a personal theatre, with the help of a 31-inch 8K resolution screen. BMW has unveiled a theater screen prototype at the world’s biggest tech show, CES 2022. The car that was equipped with this entertainment system was probably a luxury electric 7 Series car.

According to the report, The screen is fitted into the roof of the car. The screen has an 8K resolution of 8000 x 2000 pixels. It supports three types of aspect ratios – 16: 9, 21: 9 and 32: 9. The entertainment system runs Fire OS, which provides support for video streaming services and Fire TV apps. It also supports 5G connectivity.

The 31-inch panel is a touch screen. Small touchpad controls have also been installed in the rear doors of the car. The BMW Theater Screen uses 30 speakers from Bowers & Wilkins, which provide surround sound. BMW has called this sound ‘4D’. The company has done a lot of different things to offer theater experience in the car. When the screen in the car comes down from the ceiling, the side and rear windows are also completely covered. No light comes from outside in them. In this way the whole atmosphere becomes theatrical.

BMW has not revealed many things about the theater screen entertainment system. Its price and availability have not been given. However, company officials have said that this feature is largely the same as the company is preparing to launch in the upcoming series.

The company had told last year that it has touched the sales figure of one million i.e. one million electric vehicles. This cell includes purely electric and hybrid vehicles. As environmental concerns are now pushing governments across the world to source pure energy, the demand for electric vehicles has increased among people and this demand is increasing rapidly around the world. The German carmaker says it will touch two million sales of fully electric vehicles by 2025.
