Bihar: Women from more than 4 lakh urban areas applied in employment scheme

The Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme has raised new hope among women of rural and urban, every class. The scheme has paved the way to make women financially strong and make sure. Apart from rural areas, women from urban areas are also showing interest to take advantage of it in large numbers. So far, 4 lakh 66 thousand Jeevika Didis working in urban areas have applied under the scheme. Along with this, more than 4 lakh 4 thousand urban women have also applied to join the self -help group (SHG) operated under livelihood.

The scheme is expected to start soon. Under this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will send the first installment of Rs 10,000 thousand through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in bank accounts of 50 lakh women. A total amount of Rs 5 thousand crore will be distributed among women. So that they can start their own business with its help. This amount is to be given to a woman from every eligible family. By taking the first installment amount, they can start farming, animal husbandry, handicrafts, sewing-weaving or small enterprises. After this, they will be given a assistance of Rs 2 lakh after about six months, so that they can increase their business.

More than 1 crore rural women applied

The goal of this scheme is to give equal opportunity to the economically weaker women of rural and urban areas to strengthen. 1 crore 5 lakh Jeevika Didis associated with SHG of rural areas have applied to take advantage. Also, more than 1 lakh 40 thousand women have applied to join self -help groups.

They can take advantage of the scheme

The benefit of the scheme will be available to those families including husband and wife and their unmarried children. Such unmarried adult women whose parents are not alive will also be eligible. The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 60 years. Applicants or her husband should not be an income tax payer. Along with them or her husband should not be in government service (regular or contract). All women associated with Jeevika Self Help Group will be eligible for this scheme.

This is the process of application

Rural Area:- Women associated with SHG will submit applications to their village organization. A special meeting will be held at the village organization level, in which all the members of the group will be applied in an integrated form. Women who are not connected to self -help groups will first have to join the group by applying in the prescribed form in their village organization.

Urban Area:- Women from urban area official website of livelihood www.brlps.in You can apply online through the link available. Urban women associated with self -help groups from the east will not require online application.
