In 15 districts of Bihar, preparations are being made by the state government to build two new helipads. On the instructions of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, the Building Construction Department has started its preparation and has instructed its engineers to prepare its estimated budget. Along with this, reports of other resources including land available in all the districts have also been sought. The purpose of building a helipad is to provide the convenience of ministers and top officials to reach the respective districts immediately on special occasions and emergencies.

Helipad will be built in these districts

According to sources, the districts to be built for helipads include Patna, Darbhanga, Bihta, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Begusarai, Virpur (Supaul), Chhapra, Rohtas, Kishanganj, Madhubani, Munger, Saharsa, Valmikinagar (East Champaran) and Katihar. . Out of these, permanent helipads will be made in Rohtas, Darbhanga and Katihar police lines.

New runway will be built in Patna airport

There is also a plan to expand the runway of Patna airport on the request of the Airport Authority of India. About 200 acres of land is needed for this. About 150 houses are built on the land marked in the survey. Along with this, a flyover and a mosque are coming in this route. The compensation for its acquisition is being assessed. Along with this, the construction of the new terminal building is going on, but instructions have been given to increase the pace of construction.

Other airports of the state will also be developed

According to the information received from the sources, the height of the boundary wall of Patna, Darbhanga, Gaya airports will be increased, as well as the repair of the lounge will be done. Guard room and generator room will also be made. A generator of suitable capacity will be installed. Adequate lighting will be arranged on the runway. Along with this, trees will be removed after the order from the competent authority.
