Big success of Punjab police, police arrested 77 kg of heroin and 4 drug smugglers

Chandigarh: Once again a major action was taken by the Punjab Police on drugs. Actually, about 77 kg of heroin has been recovered from Ferozepur by the counter intelligence of Punjab Police. The team has caught four drug smugglers along with three pistols in 2 cases. It has been described as the biggest recovery of 2023 by the police. DGP Gaurav Yadav has confirmed this matter by tweeting.

According to the information, this consignment of 77 kg of heroin has been recovered by Counter Intelligence during two major operations. The consignment of heroin has been sent by smugglers from Pakistan to the Indian border. The value of the recovered heroin in the international market is said to be Rs 539 crore. Police have registered a case under NDPS at SSOC Fazilka and started action.

DGP Gaurav Yadav tweeted that this recovery has been done by Counter Intelligence Ferozepur. In two separate cases, the police have succeeded in nabbing four smugglers. The consignment was brought from Pakistan to the Indian border and the smugglers who were caught were going to deliver the consignment to other states besides Punjab.

DGP said that 4 smugglers have been arrested in this case. In one case, 41 kg and in another case 36 kg of heroin have been recovered. The total cost of which is around 539 crore rupees. Along with this, the police have also recovered 3 imported pistols in this case.
