Late at night, he was waiting for someone while sitting in a Fortuner car outside Wave Mall in Industrial Area Phase-1. Three masked youths riding posh bikes came near the vehicle and fired 7 rounds killing Gurlal. Gurlal had bullet wounds on his head, chest and arm.
