Ingredients to make Bhindi Kadhi
Bhindi – 1/2 kg
Curd – 1 cup
Gram flour – 2 tbsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp

for tempering
Cumin – 1/4 tsp
Whole red chili – 2
Desi ghee – 2 tbsp
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece

Method for making Bhindi Kadhi
To make flavourful Punjabi style Bhindi Kadhi, first of all, take curd in a big vessel. After this add gram flour to the curd and mix both of them well. Now add turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder and salt as per taste to this mixture and mix everything well. Blend this mixture until the lumps lying in it are over. After this add 2-3 cups of water to the mixture and blend it well once again.

Now put a pan on the gas to heat it. Add curd-gram flour mixture to it and cook. Let the curry boil on low flame. While the curry starts boiling, clean and chop the bhindi. Now put oil in another pan and heat it. After the oil is hot, add chopped okra and a little salt and fry it. Cook the bhindi till it becomes crisp. After that take it out in a bowl and keep it aside.

Now heat desi ghee in a saucepan. After melting the ghee, add cumin, dry red chillies and cinnamon to it. Cook till the cumin seeds crackle and then turn off the gas. Now put fried okra and tadka in the curry. With the help of a spoon, mix the tadka and bhindi with the curry well. Now cover the pan and cook the curry for another 7-8 minutes. After this turn off the gas. Punjabi style Bhindi Kadhi is ready to serve.
