Bharat Joda Yatra started on September 7 last year from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and reached Srinagar after covering a long journey of more than 4000 km.

Jairam Ramesh said through Twitter that as per the pre-arranged program, Rahul Gandhi was supposed to hoist the flag in Srinagar on Monday, January 30. But the administration said last evening that Rahul Gandhi will be allowed to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk on the condition that he does so on Sunday, January 29, instead of Monday. Jairam Ramesh tweeted that along with hoisting the flag at Lalchowk, the Join India journey has also been completed.
