Entry and exit of people inside the cantonment has been restricted. Central agencies have also been put on high alert. Senior officials of Punjab Police are also reaching the cantonment.
Bathinda cantonment is the largest military cantonment in Asia. The range of this military station is about 45 km. The ammunition depot here is one of the largest depots in the country
Bathinda is an important military installation and is the headquarters of 10 Corps, which falls under the jurisdiction of Jaipur-based South Western Command.
