Bathinda Counter Intelligence caught three accused with weapons

In Bathinda, counter intelligence has arrested 3 miscreants associated with Pakistan-based terrorist module. This terrorist module is being controlled by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. 8 pistols, 9 magazines and 30 live cartridges have been recovered from the arrested accused. This information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav.

Preliminary investigation revealed that he was planning to carry out a target killing of a religious leader. All three were in touch with gangsters lodged in the UAPA case in Sangrur Jail. DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the case is currently being investigated. The police are looking for their backward and forward links. Soon the whole matter will be revealed.

According to the information, the counter-intelligence team received information that Raj Bhupinder Singh alias Bhinda resident of Dhik district Bathinda, Raman Kumar Ramani resident of Guruharshay district Ferozepur and Jagjit Singh Tena resident of Dhilwa Khurd district Faridkot are traveling in a stolen Alto car. He is coming from Gobindpura to Bathinda. After which the counter-intelligence team blockaded near Gobindpura Canal. From where the Alto car was surrounded and the three were arrested.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the three accused were in touch with gangsters Kulwinder Singh Kinda Khanpuria, Harcharan Singh Delhi and Sultan Singh Amritsar lodged in Sangrur Jail. It was on his instructions that he was going to kill a religious leader. At present, the police is interrogating the three to find out their complete planning.

The police suspect that through these gangsters he got connected with the Pakistani terrorist module and got ready to carry out the incident. A case of Theft and Arms Act has been registered against the three accused and the three jailed gangsters in the Cantt Bathinda police station. During the interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that the weapons recovered from them were bought from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
