Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee says that this decision has been taken to avoid any incident of violence and to maintain peace in the state. Along with this, the producer of the film, Vipul Shah, has said that he will go to court against the orders of the Mamata government.
Earlier some theater owners in Tamil Nadu had banned the screening of the film. While in Madhya Pradesh, the film has been made tax free two days ago. Meanwhile, the CM of the state Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said that the film exposes the conspiracy of love jihad, conversion and terrorism. This should be seen by parents, children, daughters, everyone.
