Senior officials arrived to end the encounter
10 companies of para commandos and security forces have been deployed in Anantnag to end the operation as soon as possible. ADGP Vijay Kumar and other senior officials also reached the encounter site.
In the midst of the Anantnag operation, a terrorist has targeted a CRPF vehicle in Srinagar. Srinagar Police said that a terrorist armed with a pistol fired at the CRPF bullet proof vehicle. Security personnel thwarted the attack in Khanyam area of Srinagar district. No one is reported to be injured in the incident. The terrorist who fired at CRPF escaped.
