Faridkot Vigilance called the victim Baba Gagandas to the Ferozepur office for investigation while continuing the investigation in the case of demanding bribe of lakhs of rupees in the much-discussed Baba Dayaldas murder case of the district. Baba Gagandas himself has accused the officials of Faridkot police in the name of IG of asking for bribe and taking 20 lakh rupees from it.
On the other hand, SI Khemchandra Parashar, who is working in the IG office along with SP Gagnesh Kumar, DSP Sushil Kumar, accused in the bribery case, is still under suspicion. However, the three were transferred out of Faridkot district after a case was registered at Kotakpura Sadar police station on the recommendation of vigilance, with Parashar transferred to Moga district.
Faridkot SSP Harjeet Singh said that after the names of SP Gagnesh Kumar, DSP Sushil Kumar, SI Khemchandra Parashar were mentioned in the case registered in Kotakpura Sadar police station on 2 June 2023, the three were transferred to other districts outside Faridkot district. On the news of Parashar being suspended, he said that the SSP of Moga will tell about it.
On the other hand, Moga district SSP J Elichijian said that Parashar has been transferred to Moga, but Parashar has taken medical leave instead of joining, there is no information about his suspension. However, it is being told that Parashar’s duty was in Sri Muktsar Sahib and he was attached to Faridkot IG office from there, so he has been suspended from Muktsar Sahib.
