Renowned astrologer P Khurana passed away in Chandigarh this morning. Jyotish P Khurana was the father of film actor Ayushmann Khurana. His last rites will be performed at Manimajra crematorium in Chandigarh today at half past five. For the last 2 days, P Khurana was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Punjab. He was under treatment in the hospital for 2 days due to heart disease.
Ayushmann’s brother and actor Aparshakti Khurana’s spokesperson has issued a statement in this regard. The statement said, ‘It is with great sadness that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana’s father Jyotishacharya P Khurana passed away today at 10.30 am in Mohali. He was suffering from an incurable disease for a long time. In this hour of personal loss, we are grateful for your prayers and support for the family.

Ayushmann Khurrana was very close to his father. It was his father P Khurana who changed the spelling of the actor’s name and asked him to enter the film industry. In the year 2021, astrologer P Khurana gave her inheritance to Shilpa Dhar. Ayushmann had told in an interview that he wanted to live in Chandigarh but his father P Khurana took him to Mumbai. He also told how his father once went to Mumbai and told someone that his son would become a big star one day. Ayushmann was not aware of this. However, on learning later, he was afraid of what would happen if he did not live up to his father’s expectations.
The actor told in another interview that his father was very strict in his childhood. He was beaten a lot by his father. He had said that the one whose parents have not slapped him, who has not eaten his slippers, cannot be brought up.
