During this, JP Nadda said that 5 years back the North East had to face blockades, militancy, targeted attacks etc. But today Nagaland has again come on the path of peace, prosperity and development. Nagaland has been a story of growth. In last 8 years insurgency has come down by 80% and AFSPA has been removed from 66% areas. He said that PM Modi considers the northeastern states as Ashta Lakshmi, they have peace, electricity, tourism, 5G signals, culture, natural farming and sports along with other potentials on the basis of development.

Manifesto promises package for Eastern Nagaland

The party’s manifesto released by BJP president JP Nadda also announced several measures for infrastructure, economic development and promotion of healthcare and agriculture, apart from skill development. The manifesto states that we will work with the central government to expedite the construction of the Trans-Nagaland Highway, which will provide easy access to various districts, especially from eastern Nagaland.

7th pay commission will be implemented as soon as BJP government comes in Meghalaya

It has been said in the BJP manifesto that the 7th Pay Commission will be implemented as soon as the Bharatiya Janata Party government comes to power in Meghalaya. Along with this, BJP has promised free education to girls from KG to graduation. A bond of Rs 50,000 will also be given to the girls at the time of their birth. Apart from this, financial assistance of Rs 24 thousand will be given annually to widow women. At the same time, two cylinders will be given free in a year to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme. Along with this, a promise has also been made to double the pension of senior citizens.
