A video of a policeman’s hooliganism has come to light in Punjab’s Fazilka district. A person from village Koilkhera was beaten by a policeman with a stick. Slapped, cursed. He was completely intoxicated. The policeman has been suspended after the video surfaced. SP Fazilka Manjit Singh said that police officer Pritpal Singh has been suspended and the investigation is on.

The victim, Surinder Pal Singh, a resident of village Koilkhera, said that he was going home from his work. On the way, when he stopped at a petrol pump to fill up, he met friends there. Friends were celebrating a friend’s birthday together. Friends stopped him there to cut a birthday cake. Meanwhile, ASI Preetpal Singh came there. He was intoxicated at that time. As soon as he came, he tried to hit the car first and started swearing.
He was taken to the police station and tortured
According to Surinder, when he started recording his video, the ASI stopped him from recording the video and took away his motorcycle keys. He was severely beaten with a stick. The policeman put him in his car and took him to the Bukkanwala post. They called some of his other policemen and beat him badly. Apart from this, he was taken to the police station and tortured a lot.
Surinder says that his only fault was that he tried to make a video of that employee, due to which he was punished so much. He has demanded from the higher officials of the police that justice should be done by taking legal action against the concerned police personnel. Whom the relatives have admitted at Civil Hospital Fazilka. Got some injuries but out of danger. A complaint has been given to the police.
