Around 95 Percent WhatsApp Users Receive Pesky Calls SMS from Online Business

Users of instant messaging service WhatsApp in India say that the number of spam messages and calls they are receiving has increased. About 76 percent of WhatsApp users surveyed reported that they have received an increase in such messages and calls due to their interactions with WhatsApp business accounts and their activity on Facebook or Instagram.

This survey was conducted by the online survey firm LocalCircles from February 1 to 20. survey Nearly 95 percent of WhatsApp users reported receiving one or more spam messages every day. Another survey by LocalCircles recently revealed that 16 percent of mobile users receive 6-10 spam calls per day, while for about five percent the number exceeds 10 calls per day. This survey was done between January 5 and February 5. In this, more than 56,000 answers were received from the people of 342 districts. Each question on this survey had a different number of answers. Of the mobile subscribers surveyed, 66 percent reported receiving three or more spam calls per day. Of these, 96 per cent of the subscribers said that they receive at least one such call per day.
