Amul Price Hike News: With the beginning of the new financial year, Amul has decided to increase the price of milk. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) on Saturday increased the prices of Amul milk by Rs 2 per liter across the state.
Let us tell you that this change has been made only in Gujarat. This is the first increase in milk prices in the state after the Gujarat assembly elections in December 2022. The reason for this is said to be increase in cost of milk production due to increasing cost of fodder and transportation.
An increase of Rs 2 per litre
After the increase of 2 rupees per liter in milk, the price of milk in Gujarat has become expensive by 3 to 4 percent. The Gujarat Corporation Milk Marketing Federation Limited, the largest dairy union in Gujarat, had decided to increase the price of Amul’s milk by Rs 2 per litre.
This increase has been applied to all types of Amul. After this increase, Amul Gold, Amul Shakti and Amul Taza milk varieties have been increased by Rs 2 per litre. Let us tell you that this is the first increase in milk prices after the Gujarat assembly elections in December 2022.
Another hit of inflation
After the increase, now the price of buffalo milk from Amul has gone up to Rs 68 per litre, while the price of Amul Gold has gone up to Rs 64 per litre. On the other hand, after the increase in the price of Amul Shakti, it has become Rs 58 per litre. Apart from this, the price of Amul’s cow’s milk has now reached Rs 54 per litre.
Along with this, the price of Amul Fresh has increased to Rs 52 per litre. It is clear that the increase in the price of milk has once again affected the pocket of the general public. People suffering from inflation will have to bear another burden.
