The Amritsar Police has achieved great success and arrested two persons with weapons. It is known that the accused used to form a gang and supply illegal weapons. The police have registered a case against both and started proceedings.
Giving information, ADCP Mehtab Singh said that a person Sahil Kumar alias Chhanga was arrested from the area of Annagarh gate by SI Balwinder Singh in-charge police post Annagarh police party of police station Gate Hakeem and 05 pistols and 40 jindans (32 bore, 315 bore and 12 bore) recovered.
ADCP said that the arrested Sahil Kumar came out on bail from the Central Jail, Amritsar about four months ago after spending 04 years in various cases. Sahil Kumar said that he along with his associates Ajay Singh alias Hodhi and Rakshit Saini formed a gang and sold illegal weapons. Ajay Singh alias Ghodhi and Rakshit Saini, are currently lodged in Central Jails Amritsar and Ludhiana under the Arms Act.
