Government Ayurvedic College: Minister of Medical Education and Research, Health and Family Welfare Departments of Punjab Dr. Balbir Singh visited Government Medical College, Government Dental College and Government Ayurvedic College of Patiala to obtain feed bank from the staff and students for further improvement in these three prestigious institutions.

On this occasion Dr. Balbir Singh announced a big gift to the staff of the Government Ayurvedic College on behalf of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said that the process will be completed in the next two months to regularize the staff and give proper promotions as per the rules. He said that the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) had asked to close the Ayurvedic College, but the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has not only opened this college. It has been decided not to keep but to regularize its staff and to start all the facilities of a college as well as a pharmacy and a hospital here. He said that in the next two months, the entire process of regular staff and promotions will be completed as per rules.

Dr. Balbir Singh said that today will be a historic day for the Government Ayurvedic College when the Punjab Government will regularly recruit staff here, including the hospital and pharmacy, to revive this institution which has been neglecting the ancient treatment system of India for years. The decision to start has been taken. He said that good employment opportunities will also be provided to the students here. On this occasion, he interacted with the students of the Government Ayurvedic College separately and assured them that in the coming three months major reforms will be made in the college’s procedures.

Minister of Medical Education Dr. Balbir Singh said that Government Medical College, Government Dental College and Government Ayurvedic College of Patiala will be included in the list of leading medical colleges of the country, for which Punjab Government is working on a blueprint plan. He said that reforms are being made in the health sector on a large scale to make Punjab a Rangla Punjab.

Earlier, the Cabinet Minister held a high-level meeting to implement the plan made to rank the Government Medical College among the leading medical colleges of the country. On this occasion, he asked to start work for trauma center, accommodation for staff, hostel for students, sports complex, laundry plot soon. He said that a new batch should be started after completing the work of the institute building.

The Health Minister directed the officials to digitize all the services of Rajindra Hospital and provide Ayushman facility 24 hours a day on all days of the week. He said that all the staff should work as a team for the progress of the organization, this will increase the efficiency of the work, there will be major improvements in the health sector. He also instructed the staff to ensure that no patient goes out of the hospital to take medicine but all the medicines are made available inside and the laboratory of the hospital is also made sure to work 24 hours. He said that the authorities have been authorized at the local level for the purchase of medicines and medical equipment so that there is no unnecessary delay in the work.

He stressed on the medical education institute to create its own website and connect the old students for the betterment of the health system and the institution, saying that the years of experience of the old students in the medical field will be of great benefit to the institute.

On this occasion, he visited the Government Dental College and took suggestions for the betterment of the institutions from the staff and students and said that the teaching progress from the stagnant level four in the institutions will be done quickly and the students will also be made to visit other institutions so that knowledge and technology can be acquired. can be exchanged. The Health Minister said that making the entire system transparent and efficient is his first priority.
