Litchi is being cultivated in 36 thousand hectares

On Tuesday, Agriculture Director Aditya Prakash said at the Unnati Litchi Kisan Samman function organized by Dehat and Coca-Cola at a hotel in the capital that at present litchi is being cultivated in 36 thousand hectares. Now the production area of ​​litchi is being increased. A plan is also being brought to manage its waste. During this, officials and farmers expressed concern over the decline in litchi production.

90 percent litchi shahi in Bihar

NRC director Vikas Das said that 80 percent litchi of Bihar is royal. Despite not having favorable soil for litchi like Bihar, its production is increasing in other states. Radharaman, Joint Director of Horticulture Department, also talked about the concern of the farmers and its solution.

The work of reviving the existing orchards is in progress.

Rural director Adarsh ​​Srivastava demanded arrangements for the transportation of litchi. Coca-Cola’s CSR Director Rajesh Ayapilla said that the work of reviving and rejuvenating the existing gardens is being done through the project. During the programme, litchi farmers Vipin Pandey of Vaishali, Harinath Singh and Avinash Singh of Bhataulia of Muzaffarpur shared their experiences. Unnati farmers were honored by the Director of Agriculture.
