Following the threats from the terrorist organization Sikhs for Justice, the Civil Aviation Security Bureau at the airports of Punjab and Delhi. No Terminal Building Entry
These orders issued on Monday have been asked to be implemented soon. Security has been tightened for all Air India flights at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and airports in Punjab. Now there is 100% SLPC (Secondary Stairway Point Check), Temporary Airport Entry Pass (TAEP), ban on passenger entry at IGI (Indira Gandhi International) terminal buildings. These safety instructions will remain in force till November 30.
Terrorist Pannu threatened
Terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has released a video threatening Sikhs not to fly in Air India planes after November 19. He said that their lives may be in danger on this day.
What the officer said
A senior official said that in view of the inputs received from the intelligence agencies, a high level alert has been issued to increase security at the airports. Asked about security preparedness after Pannu’s threat, an official said, “Though most of such calls are fake, we respond.”
The orders issued read that in view of the messages being continuously shared by central security agencies about the threat to civil aviation establishments like airports, airstrips, airfields, air force stations, helipads, flying schools, aviation training institutes across India. This decision has been taken.
